Ana Beatriz Barros was born on the 29th of May in
1982. Born in Itabria, Minas Gerais Brazil, Ana moved to Rio de Janeiro
when she was young and grew up on the beach. Was discovered by the Director
of Elite Management while at the beach with her sister Patricia (also
a model). In 1996 won the Brazilian Elite Look of the Year, and placed
2nd in the International Elite Look of the Year. After winning, she
was given an offer by Guess? and through them met one of her best friends,
Alessandra Ambrosio.
Has since done advertisements for Victoria's Secret, Chanel, Jennifer Lopez's JLO fashion line and many others, as well as graced the covers of several magazines as well, such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Allure and Brazilian magazines Capricho and Audi. Ana credits her love for diverse cultures and languages as contributors towards her desire to be a model, so being a model is the perfect vocation for her, as she gets to travel around the world and visit beautiful places while doing runway for companies such as Balmain, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroiz, Valentino and Lolita Lempicka.
Currently with Next, Women, Megal Models and Chic, her mother agency Lumière Sao Paulo is run by the husband of her sister. When she's not busy modeling, Ana enjoys spending her time going to the movies, hanging out with her friends, listening to music (like Usher or Lenny Kravitz), swimming, playing volleyball, and reading.
